New Delhi, July 14, 2017 — In a world often driven by headlines of conflict and crisis, there remain countless individuals working quietly, yet tirelessly, to uplift the underserved and transform lives. Honoring such selfless service, the Green Earth Patron Foundation is set to organize the second edition of its prestigious Social Achievers Award this July 14, 2017, at the Constitution Club of India, New Delhi.
Established in 2014, the Green Earth Patron Foundation (GEP Foundation) is a nationally registered trust based in Delhi. Founded by a committed group of educationists, professionals, technocrats, and social workers, the organization has continually worked towards providing inclusive social services across communities. Under the leadership of Mrs. Vineet Siwal, a noted social worker and General Secretary of the foundation, GEP has undertaken impactful initiatives focused on education, poverty alleviation, environmental sustainability, and women’s empowerment.
The Social Achievers Award 2017 is a celebration of individuals who have made remarkable contributions to social empowerment. From activists helping women break the shackles of oppression, to volunteers educating street children, the event will recognize a diverse set of changemakers whose dedication strengthens the very fabric of society.
GEP Foundation believes in the power of recognition. As Mrs. Vineet Siwal aptly puts it,

This year’s edition builds on the success of the inaugural Social Achievers Award 2016, which was graced by eminent personalities including Hon’ble Minister Shri Ramdas Athawale, renowned women’s activist Neera Shastri (daughter-in-law of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri), celebrated actor Tarun Khanna of Devon Ke Dev – Mahadev fame, Sahara News anchor Urvashi, as well as several MPs and MLAs.
The overwhelming response to the first event reaffirmed the Foundation’s mission — that the stories of grassroots warriors must be brought to the mainstream. Through Social Achievers Award 2017, GEP Foundation aims to give voice to such inspiring stories.
More than just accolades, the event aims to spark deeper collaboration and unity among individuals and organizations working toward a better India. The honorees are from various sectors — education, environment, rural development, healthcare, and women’s rights — showcasing how social change requires a multi-pronged approach.
